Photorealism-
Is a way of making a drawing, painting or
other type of art look realistic as if it was an actual picture a artist that
did this was chuck close.
This picture is one of chucks works, as you
can see from this image that it is very well detailed and looks very realistic,
because he has captured every slight detail of this man’s face from hair on his
face too light reflecting on his glasses.
Cell shading-
Is used to make images objects to appear
flat, its often used in comics but recently in the game of borderlands, this
was new because the art style of the game was very sharp this was achieved by
the art style of cell shading, you can tell when this art style is being used
because of the black outline around the 3-D or 2-D graphic image.
Abstraction-From what I can find and see abstraction is about colour
and shapes to represent the game, this is mainly shown in Tetris because Tetris
is basically colour and shapes and there is no objective its just survive and
build
Exaggeration-
Is basically over the top scenes, things
that go past the line when they didn’t really need too, these kind of things
are mainly seen in Japanese title games, the most resent one I’ve seen is
Onechanbara Z2 chaos, like from the name it’s just too much to handle but when
playing the game other the female graphical characters there is a lot of exaggeration.
I mainly saw this when a famous youtuber
was playing the game, pewdiepie, he says ‘if anyone knows what I’m looking at
right now feel free to tell me’
